Nothing up until now has even come close
Blake, the acronym “OBE” is incorrectly explained as “Overtaken By Events.” In US government agencies, including the Intelligence Community and the Department of Defense, the correct/official explanation for the acronym “OBE” is “Overcome By Events”. Featured in Graham Norton and enjoyed by: Cher/Keira Knightley/Michael Fassbender/Josh Brolin/Jalen Ngonda (2024). I have to say that I had the chance to watch The Bureau a few years ago and to be honest, it was probably one of the best things I’ve ever watched.
You won’t regret it
There is a correlation between the two shows, it was obviously mentioned that it was “influenced” by it, but to be honest, I didn’t expect a similar storyline. Don’t get me wrong, the series so far is amazing, with a great cast, great cinematography, but it wasn’t something I hadn’t seen in the French version before. It’s too early to tell how it will turn out, but I highly suggest to anyone who hasn’t watched The Bureau to watch it.
It’s not something you would watch while riding your bike on your home trainer
After seeing Fassbender play the professional hitman in David Fincher’s The Killer, and seeing that he was in the cast, I immediately knew that he was a great choice for the role. These types of series actually require some concentration while watching, in order to be able to follow all the characters in the story and the little details that concern them. Some would even consider them slow, maybe even boring, but exactly those characteristics and complicated personal battles that the characters have, plus the slow build-up of tension, are what makes them great in my opinion.
