CIA agent Joe tries to balance his personal and professional life as the tip of the spear in the agency’s war on terror. I waited 4 episodes to really immerse myself in this for an extended period of time. The goal was to give me the opportunity to appreciate the gift we were given by several A-list actors who contributed to the creation of this work, which by the way is enjoyable and well-received by many, despite the mixed reviews. Many viewers have heard stories from a similar angle, but that view here remains gripping as you tackle a more confusing yet well-crafted plot with female leads, each confidently capturing our attention whenever they appear. At the halfway point, we can’t say whether that sense of urgency as we learn more and more about what’s going on will remain at the level it is now, but given the subject matter, the budget, and the talent pool with which they’ve managed to bring this to the screen, it’ll be hard to miss the landing, especially given the series’ solid foundation.
