The character of Sawyer was originally supposed to be an older, stylish, suited-up urbanite from Buffalo, New York. However, when Josh Holloway forgot a line during an audition and then kicked a chair in frustration and swore loudly, the writers liked Sawyer’s character and decided to write Sawyer as more of a dark, Southern drifter. Jin and Sun are married and have the last name “Kwon,” which becomes a major plot point in the final season.

LOST went beyond TV drama writing and epitomized motive theory when it hit the scene in 2004. That was 14 wonderful years ago, and the show is still going strong. Seriously.
