Hugh Jackman said he was truly done with playing Wolverine after Logan (2017)
Narrative
Deadpool is offered a spot in the Marvel Cinematic Universe by the Time Diversion Authority, but instead recruits a Wolverine variant to save his universe from extinction. The Wolverine team explained how they got around the risqué jokes, and Emma Corrin opened up about what it was like working with superstars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman. He later said he regretted that statement after watching the first Deadpool movie and expressed to Ryan his interest in seeing the two characters meet on the big screen. When asked why he decided to return for this film, he simply said, “I just wanted to do it, and I felt it in my gut,” adding that he wanted to have the time of his life on a movie set with Ryan Reynolds. Similarly, Reynolds had wanted to work alongside Jackman since the first Deadpool movie and was saddened when he (Jackman) stepped down from the role.

The cameos, for me, are fantastic too
I’m not a huge Marvel fan, but I’ve watched all the Deadpool movies and loved them. I don’t know what it is, but I find it funny, and all the drama too. All the jokes are spot on, the acting is great (with a few exceptions), the action is great – overall a movie I’d recommend to anyone who can handle a little adult (and childish) humor and gore. The story is okay, nothing special, but the execution makes up for it. And one more thing – the pacing is spot on too – 2 hours in.
