James McAvoy and Mackenzie Davis share their characters

Narrative

A family is invited to spend an entire weekend in a remote house in the countryside, but as the weekend progresses, they realize that the family who invited them has a dark side. found them very intriguing and complementary to each other as they discuss their different approaches to the craft. The story is inspired by the experiences of Christian Tafdrup, the original Danish director of Speak No Evil (2022), who befriended a Dutch couple while on holiday in Tuscany with his wife. Although the Dutch were somewhat socially awkward, the two couples got on very well, and upon returning home, Tafdrup received an invitation from a Dutch family to move to the Netherlands. He briefly considered it, but decided that it would be strange to stay with people he didn’t really know; his story for the film was born when he unleashed his darkest fantasies about what might have happened if he had agreed (keeping in mind that the original Dutch couple never gave off bad vibes).

It’s pretty clear

In this remake, the nationalities of the two families have been changed to American and British. In the bathroom, while washing his eyes, he has a subconjunctival hemorrhage in his left eye, in the next scene, in his eyes. Ben Dalton: Why are you doing this to us? Paddy: Because you’re leaving us!. Includes Nestali u Aksi (1984).

James McAvoy stole the show

Gloria Written by Giancarlo Bigazzi, Umberto Tozzi & Trevor Veitch Published by Sugar Songs UK Ltd. Licensed to Wise Music Group Limited. Performed by Laura Branigan Licensed to Warner Music UK Ltd. His performance blurs the lines between charismatic and charming, ominous and menacing. The remake of the Danish film of the same name follows in its footsteps for most of the film, but diverges in the final act.

However, the remake offers a new twist on the original

I believe the original film takes it to a level that makes it different and memorable. The remake struggles to access the disjointed and truly horrifying moments of the third act that they initially created (especially the final quarry scene). A different setting in an English farmhouse that offers different scenery than the original, as well as an American family as guests. This film offers some special moments where the audience cringes (in a good way) at the conversations of the couples. It definitely makes you feel uncomfortable, especially when you know the nature of the owners’ intentions.

I just find the final act to be a little too Hollywood in terms of family action and the ultimate conclusion of the film. I will say, however, that the remake does enough to justify its creation, greatly helped by the exceptional performance of James and his co-stars. Enjoyable :)). The final season of “What We Do in the Shadows” is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
